Homologation of Terminal Equipment of Telecommunications

Legal reference: 

Resolution Nº St-2002-0250 of July 31 of 2003: “Instructive of the Administrative, Technical and Finance Processes for the Homologation of Terminal Equipment of Telecommunications”.

Resolution Nº St-2002-0275 of September 11 of 2002: “Reforms to the Instructive Of the Administrative, Technical and Finance Processes for the Homologation of Terminal Equipment De Telecommunications”.

Requirements for the Homologation of Individual Equipments:

  • The Homologation of Individual Terminal Equipment will be made solely for which have been acquired abroad and must be carried out by the Proprietor of the Terminal Equipment. In Case of Physical Impossibility, The Petitioner Will has to annex the Corresponding Authorization.

  • Request Signed by the Proprietor of the Equipment That Will consist In the Corresponding Formulary. This Information will enter the Data Base of the System of Homologation of the Telecommunications Superintendence.

  • Original and copies Of Certificate of Citizenship Of the Proprietor Of the Equipment;

  • Original of the Invoice of purchase of the Terminal Equipment.

Requirements for Homologation of imported Equipments:

  • Formulary of Request for Homologation of Terminal Equipments with the Required Information. (This Information Will be entered directly In the System of Homologation of the Telecommunications Superintendence).

  • Technical manuals that Contributes the Necessary Information For the Accomplishment of tests;

  • Characteristics of Working and Connection mode To the Network;

  • A Certificate of Technical Characteristics Issued By a Laboratory Recognized by the Telecommunications Superintendence Of Which the Equipment Or Apparatuses Whose Brand and Model Are wanted To import Fulfills the Specifications Of the Corresponding Practical standards Or a Recognized Certificate Of an International Homologation Organism;

  • A Document With the Commitment Of the Responsible Company Of the Import, Respect To the Technical Guarantee Of the Maintenance Of the Imported Equipment;

  • Documents of Pertinent Importation and Nationalization (Registered Copies) Dui; And,

  • Model Information and Serial Number of the equipments to be homologated, preferably in magnetic field.

Homologation Costs 

To obtain the Certificate of Homologation the petitioner will have to pay to the Telecommunications Superintendence, the following values:

a) For Personal equipment:

Registry and Verification in Laboratory 

Of the Parameters of the Terminal Equipment:

The Applicant Will pay the Costs of Laboratory That Correspond.
